Located on Lazaretto Creek, Bubba Gumbo's is a purveyor of fine seafood from Caitlin Burns and Tybee’s local waters.
Bubba Gumbo's is a southeast coastal waterfront joint, est. in 1997 by Paul Burns and resurrected in 2015 by his daughter, Caitlin Burns. You will find it located on the shrimp docks of Tybee Island Marina. Since then, owner Caitlin Burns has been serving both quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of seafood.
Bubba Gumbo's interior is charming and historic. The building, built in the 1940's, reflects the hip sensibilities of Caitlin's taste. All the while also paying tribute to old Tybee's storied past. The indoor-outdoor dining area offers the choice to observe wildlife through the lens of our marsh bar or hang out in the atmospheric dining room.
